Norwood Family

Deanna Norwood, and her children, Londynn (7) and Layana (4) will be our first house in 2026. Though they are originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, they have lived in McLean County for seven years.

Deanna is an employee of State Farm in the Claims Department.

She enjoys thrifting (ReStore is a frequent haunt), taking walks, cooking, visiting museums, reading, decorating, and trying new foods. Her girls love family game nights on the weekends and playing dress up. Londynn loves cheerleading, and Layana enjoys dance class.

The Norwood family is anxious to get started on this long-awaited journey, saying, “The Habitat program provides many families with the opportunity to learn about financial literacy and various responsibilities that come along with homeownership. Building with Habitat for Humanity is a dream come true. This program allows me to give my children a safe place to call home.”

The Norwood Family will be partnering with Women Build to build their future home.
