Are you interested in owning an affordable home?

Habitat McLean County partners with local families to provide affordable housing. To qualify, individuals and families must have a demonstrated need, must be willing to put in sweat equity, and must be able to take on a mortgage payment. An overview of the qualifications is below.

Total gross income includes each adult living in the household. Income should be calculated from all documented wages, SSI, SSDI, retirement, alimony, VA benefits, and child support.

How to Apply

Step 1 - Qualifications

Review the qualifications listed above to understand the program requirements.

Step 2 - Register for the Mailing List

Complete the Interest Form above to let us know you are interested in applying. The next time an application period opens, we will notify everyone who completed the form as well as post a notice on our site. 

Step 3 - Online Application

When the application process is opened, you will fill out and submit your application. Be sure to attach all required documents. 

Step 4 - Application Review Process

Once Habitat McLean County receives your application, our Family Selection Committee will review it and contact you with next steps.
