For many years, college students participated in Trick or Treat for Change throughout the Bloomington-Normal community. The students dressed in costumes and collected change and other donations from local residents. The funds raised by the event helped build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of McLean County.
The pandemic altered both the event and the collegiate build.
This year we're bringing back Trick or Treat for Change... with a twist.
Throughout the month of October, we will be collecting donations as well as your best costumes. Our staff will narrow down the submissions to our finalists. The finalists will then compete to see whose costume will raise the most money. The winner will receive a special prize.
