House Blessing Ceremony

ANGELA'S HOUSE BLESSING

A foundation built on hope, walls raised by community, and a door opened to a brand-new future.

On May 27th, we welcomed Angela into her new home with a house blessing ceremony. Standing in this beautiful space, you can truly feel what happens when a community comes together to turn lumber into legacy.

This isn't just a house. It’s a sanctuary where memories will be made, obstacles will be overcome, and roots will run deep. Angela, your strength, dedication, and resilience have inspired us all. You didn’t just dream of a better future—you built it.

To every volunteer, donor, and supporter who swung a hammer, offered a prayer, or invested in this journey: you helped build this foundation. Thank you for proving that home is where the heart—and the community—is.

Please join us in sending Angela and her family endless love, joy, and blessings as they start this beautiful new chapter!

Thank you to our generous sponsors:

ALUMINUM RECYCLING

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Novelis again this year to collect and recycle aluminum at the ReStore! From now through October, you can drop off your cans (and other aluminum items) at 1402 W Washington St Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm.

Did you know that aluminum can be recycled infinitely? Recycling aluminum is incredibly energy-efficient, requiring only 5% of the energy needed to produce new aluminum from raw materials.

All aluminum that is dropped off at the ReStore will be recycled, which generates funds for affordable housing. If we recycle at least 500 pounds by October, we will also receive a grant from Novelis!

“I'm excited to be part of a program that values hard work and community. I look forward to completing my sweat equity hours, learning new skills, and helping build a strong future for my family.”

– Angela, 2026 Habitat Partner Family
