NEW PARTNER FAMILY

Angela and her family will be partnering with Habitat for the 2026 season. She has two daughters, Katara (14) and Serentiy (9). Angela is originally from Chicago, IL, but has lived in McLean County for 10 years.

The family is eager and excited to be in the Habitat program saying, “Having a Habitat home will provide my family with stability, security, and a safe place to grow. It will give us peace of mind, financial stability, and the opportunity to build a better future together.”

The family enjoys spending quality time together doing arts and crafts. Angela enjoys painting and DIY projects like refurbishing old furniture to give it a new life and personality.

Katara’s favorite hobby is playing her violin, which she has been practicing for four years. Serentiy shares her mother’s interest in creating different kinds of arts and crafts. Both girls love to play video games.

Angela is a part of the Dreams are Possible family, where she learned the trade of HVAC work, where she hopes to continue her career. She is also involved in the Workforce Empowerment Initiative (WEI) at Heartland Community College.

In May of 2026, Angela is set to graduate from the HVAC program and is currently enrolled at Heartland Community College working towards an Associate of Arts in Industrial Technology. She is committed to continuing her education and advancing her skills in the trade industry.

Thank you to everyone who made it out to the

2026 Blo-No Home Show

Thank you to everyone who sponsored, participated, volunteered, and/or attended this year’s Blo‑No Home Show! Your support helped make the event a meaningful success for our community and for Habitat for Humanity of McLean County.

This year’s show—hosted at the Interstate Center on February 14–15—featured more than 60 exhibitors showcasing the latest in home improvement, design, building services, and lifestyle offerings. Attendees connected directly with local vendors, explored renovation ideas, and discovered expert resources across nearly every category of home care, from windows and roofing to HVAC, painting, and more.

Most importantly, the event continued its mission‑driven impact: proceeds from booth sales and sponsorships directly support our home‑building efforts in McLean County, helping provide safe, affordable housing for local families. With rising construction costs and plans to build four new homes in 2026, this community support truly makes a difference.

We’re grateful to everyone who played a part—our generous sponsors, incredible vendors, dedicated volunteers, and all who came out to engage, learn, and support Habitat for Humanity. Together, we helped strengthen connections between residents, local businesses, and the broader community.

Thank you for making the 2026 Blo‑No Home Show such a strong and inspiring event!
