Siblings Mikaila and Kalin are Bloomington-Normal natives. Mikaila is a Diversity & Inclusion Specialist for State Farm. Kalin is a senior at Bloomington High School and spends summers as a lifeguard for State Farm pool. Mikaila graduated from Illinois State University, where her student employment was with the university’s newspaper, The Vidette. She spends a significant amount of time volunteering and giving back to her community. She serves on the Project Oz board. Mikaila still finds time to enjoy many hobbies, including photography, baking, food blogging, and camping.

Kalin, who Mikaila calls a “pizza connoisseur,” will be starting college in the fall to study agriculture. He will be the first male of his family to attend, and eventually graduate, from college. Mikaila and Kalin are excited to own a home in the community they've grown to love. Establishing home ownership is an accomplishment for their family and is a tradition they want to build on.
