Caldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Group
Laura Pritts joined the Habitat McLean County board of directors in January of 2021. She has been a commercial real estate broker with Coldwell Banker Commercial for 26 years. She handles sales and leasing of all commercial property types, including retail, office and industrial, plus land and multifamily sales. Her expertise in real estate has been a real asset to the board.
She has been married to husband Jon 28 years and they have two adult children. Their daughter is a nanny manager in Colorado and their son works for Brandt Industries.
“I've known about Habitat for as long as I can remember,” Laura said. “Our daughter helped on a Habitat build in Romania when she was in college, and I had donated here and there to Habitat fundraisers over the years. But my first real experience with Habitat was somewhat recently, when my Rotary Club helped sponsor a house and I found myself volunteering at a build site on a regular basis.”
Her experience taught her Habitat McLean County is more than providing volunteer labor to build a house. “It's about changing lives and creating lifelong friendships in the process,” Laura said. “It's about giving people the opportunity to succeed, and celebrating those successes. It's incredibly powerful to see how Habitat homeowners consistently give back by continuing to volunteer, as they help new homeowners realize their dreams. Habitat provides a foundation of hope, and then provides the tools to help people succeed.”
Thank you, Laura, for being an essential part of the Habitat team!
