Habitat McLean County is fortunate to be supported by collegiate chapters at both Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University. This year, we are celebrating our 25th Collegiate Build!
The Collegiate Chapters are beneficial to get young people engaged as leaders early. They also serve as an outlet to plug into the Bloomington-Normal community by connecting with other volunteers, donors, and especially the partner family and their neighbors. An experience with the Habitat Collegiate Chapter could spark or fuel a life-long commitment to helping others and serving those in need. Working with low income families can help students examine their own privilege, goals, and how they might put the skills they’re learning in college to use once they enter the real world.
Students from all campuses are welcome to help build a house that is constructed by a mostly-student crew. Opportunities are also available to serve by helping with fundraising efforts for the Collegiate Build home. If you'd like to support this year's build, which will be home to our Partner Family, the Yetimbis, click the Donate button below.
